The following members constitute our board of directors for 2018

Lisa Ellis, CP | President
Originally from Wisconsin, Lisa holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. After working in opera for many years, she completed her A.S. degree in Paralegal Studies at State College of Florida in Bradenton and successfully attained her Certified Paralegal through NALA. Lisa works in the Legal Department at HSN, formerly known as Home Shopping Network, supporting the Corporate Governance functions. Lisa enjoys practicing yoga and going to the park with her husband and their young son.

Pamala S. Roberts | Vice President
Pamala is a graduate of Western Kentucky University, Bowling Green, Kentucky with a B.S. in Systems Management and a minor in Criminology. She also has an A.S. in Paralegal Studies from Daymar College. With over 19 years of paralegal experience, previously working for a family law firm in Kentucky, Pamala is currently a Family Law Paralegal for the Tampa firm of Givens Givens Sparks, PLLC. She is also currently also a member of the South Florida Paralegal Association and NALA.

Nicole T. Luebcke, FRP | Secretary
Nicole is a Florida Registered Paralegal and a Certified Bookkeeper with the National Association of Certified Public Bookkeepers. She is a graduate of State College of Florida with A.A./A.S. degrees in Liberal Arts and Paralegal Studies, and currently sits on the State College of Florida's Paralegal Advisory Board. Nicole has over ten years of experience as a Paralegal in a variety of practice area and was a firm administrator for two years. In addition, she is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of South Florida, majoring in Psychology with a minor in Criminology.

Michelle Taylor, FRP | Treasurer
Michelle is currently a Wealth Management Account Manager for Northern Trust. Originally from Michigan, she graduated from Western Michigan University with a B.S. in Biology and Chemistry, from MCC (now SCF) with an A.S. in Paralegal Studies, and from the University of South Florida with a B.S. in Political Science. She worked as a trusts and estates paralegal for Williams Parker for 17 years and has extensive experience in trusts and estates, guardianships, and estate tax.

Valasha "Val" Sweetnich, ACP, FRP | NALA Liaison
Val holds an ACP certification from NALA in contract administration/contact management, and she has over 30 years of experience in the legal profession. She previously worked for Steptoe & Johnson, the largest defense firm in West Virginia, and, prior to relocating to Florida, she worked for the Office of General Counsel at West Virginia University. She attended Marshall University and the University of Charleston, where she majored in paralegal studies. She and her husband relocated to Sarasota from West Virginia in 2014.

Tammy Skonie, CP, FRP | FAPA Delegate | Non-Voting Member
Tammy is a graduate of UNC at Chapel Hill and holds a Paralegal Certification from Roosevelt University in Chicago. Tammy has worked in the legal field since 1990 with a short break for the birth of her two children. She started in the area of bankruptcy at the Chapter 13 Trustee's offices in Seattle and Chicago, and now works as a litigation/real estate paralegal at the Sarasota office of Adams and Reese LLP. She is a NALA Certified Paralegal and a Florida Registered Paralegal. She is also a member of Florida Association of Legal Support Specialist and the local chapter Sarasota-Manatee Association of Legal Support Specialists. She previously served on our board and is currently one of our Florida Alliance of Paralegal Associations (FAPA) representatives. Tammy is married to Ed Skonie and has 2 active teenagers, Bryce and Lyndsey.
