Board of Directors
The following members constitute our board of directors for 2012

Annette Zang, CP, FRP
Annette graduated from the College of St. Benedict with a B.A. in Music and from Keiser College with an A.A. in Paralegal Studies. She has been a paralegal with Lyons, Beaudry & Harrison, P.A. for 11 years and focuses primarily in the areas of litigation (civil and estate), probate, and estate planning. She has earned the designation of Certified Paralegal (CP) through the National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA) and is a Florida Registered Paralegal (FPR). She has served as an instructor for the CLA Review Course sponsored by Manatee Community College and the Southwest Florida Paralegal Association. She has previously served as Treasurer of SWFPA. She is also a member of NALA.

Tracy Kelly, ACP, FCP, FRP | Vice President
Tracy holds the designations of Certified Paralegal with an Advanced Certification in Civil Litigation, Florida Certified Paralegal, and Florida Registered Paralegal. She has a B.A. in Anthropology from Eckerd College and is employed with the Shapiro Law Group. She resides in Manatee County with her husband and two children.

Rita is a paralegal at Lyons, Beaudry & Harrison, P.A.

Ellen Wile, CP, FRP | Treasurer
Ellen is a land use, zoning and community association paralegal for the law firm of Najmy Thompson, P.L. She holds the Certified Paralegal and Florida Registered Paralegal designations and is a Florida Licensed Community Association Manager. Previously a public relations professional, she became a paralegal in 2004 after completing the Advanced Technical Certificate for Legal Assisting at the then-called Manatee Community College (now State College of Florida). She is also a member of the Florida Association of Legal Support Specialists and its Sarasota-Manatee chapter, and the Florida Planning and Zoning Association. She has bachelor’s and master’s level degrees, and is a native of Massachusetts.

Alice Grainger, CP, FRP | NALA Liaison
Alice is an elder law paralegal who is newly retired from Bach & Jacobs, P.A., where she worked for over six years. She coordinated client asset protection plans with the goal of qualifying them for Medicaid benefits in long term care facilities. Besides her current involvement in SWFPA and enjoying her retirement, she plans to create a consulting business that focuses on insurance and medical billing issues.
