Bravo, 20, was convicted of first-degree murder and six other counts in the death of 18-year-old University of Florida student Christian Aguilar. He was sentenced to life in prison. Throughout the trial, prosecutors alleged that Bravo was so distraught over finding out his ex-girlfriend, Friman, was dating his friend, Aguilar, that he concocted a plan to kill him so he and Friman could be together again. A Gainesville case involving UF students that has been covered on 20/20, Dateline, GMA and newspapers in Germany and all over the US. This seminar will be a case specific presentation. J.D. will take us through this case step by step with a goal of achieving a better understanding of the role of Forensic Science in solving cases and defending clients. A segment of Fingerprinting Analysis will also be presented.
